Terms of use
Short version: the poster is the only party who owes anyone money; a posted commitment is a real offer to pay up to its cap for an accepted result; Vouchward records and signs, and never holds or moves funds. $0 changes hands unless the poster accepts a result.
The commitment
Posting publishes a signed, capped reward offer: a finder reward plus a chain pool, total liability never above their sum. Accepting a claim obliges the poster to pay the amounts in the signed settlement register, over the poster's own ordinary payment rails. Vouchward's signature creates no payment obligation on Vouchward and confers none on anyone else.
Who can be paid
Payees must be adults the poster can lawfully pay. Before acceptance, the poster records who each payee actually is; a line with no real, payable person behind it is not owed. Tax reporting and withholding follow the poster's normal obligations to its own payees.
What may not be posted
Categories where finder's fees are themselves regulated or criminal, or where a search endangers its subject, are barred. This includes: patient or treatment referrals; investor-finding and other securities introductions; real-estate settlement referrals; legal-fee splitting; immigration sponsorship brokering; government-contract introductions contingent on award; locating any person outside a consented context — no searches for people who have not agreed to be found; anything facilitating harassment, surveillance, debt collection, or violence; and anything unlawful where the poster or target sits. We remove such postings and void their records.
Person searches
A search whose object is a specific person requires that person's affirmative consent before any claim is reviewed, names the referrer to them, and honors erasure. Self-serve posting for person searches is disabled; they run concierge so the consent step is real.
Forwarding
A forwarded link is a paid-referral relationship and should be disclosed as one when you share it. Don't spam: send links to people for whom they are plausibly relevant. We rate-limit and may void chains built by bulk distribution.
Honesty of records
Submitting a claim you know to be false, forwarding under identities that are not distinct people, or colluding to manufacture chain positions voids the affected records. The signed ledger proves what happened in the system; the poster's acceptance — not our cryptography — decides what deserved to be paid, under the policy named in the commitment.
Privacy
Email addresses used for invites and claims stay in our database for delivery and settlement; they are never published in the verifiable record. Ask and we erase any address that isn't owed money.
Service
Vouchward is provided as-is while young; we may decline, pause, or remove postings. Disputes about a search belong between its poster and its participants; disputes about our record can be checked against the record itself.
